Type

An extraordinary wine that perfectly represents the expression of the Montecucco DOCG territory with its unmistakable character. The 2019 vintage gave us a Sangiovese full of personality, with 14.5% alcohol content that, combined with robust yet smooth tannins, gives the wine a pleasant roundness.

Vinification

The Sangiovese grapes are carefully selected and vinified in 50 HL oak barrels at a controlled temperature to preserve the intensity of the fruity aromas and freshness typical of the variety. After fermentation, the wine is aged with care in oak barrels for at least 20 months. After bottling, it rests in the bottle for at least 6 months.

Tasting Notes

Vigna Allegra has a ruby red color, releasing intense aromas of ripe cherries and red fruits, accompanied by subtle floral notes of violet. On the palate, this Sangiovese shows enveloping softness with smooth tannins and pleasant persistence. The finish is harmonious and leaves an unforgettable memory. Vigna Allegra is a wine to be enjoyed with red meat dishes, aged cheeses, and traditional Tuscan cuisine.

Not only | La Banditaccia

La Banditaccia is an ancient estate already appearing on Leopoldine maps from the 1700s, located in the heart of one of the most unspoiled valleys of Tuscany, at the foot of Monte Amiata. The property spans 110 hectares around the 18th-century farmhouse, surrounded by woods, olive groves, vineyards, lavender fields, and a large recently planted hazelnut grove. It’s the perfect place to leave behind the chaos of the city and be embraced by nature. At night, the estate enjoys such seclusion that one can admire the stunning starry sky in complete silence, while listening to the sounds of nocturnal animals. La Banditaccia is the ideal place for a relaxing stay, a base for exploring the natural and historical wonders of the area, or a charming venue for private events and celebrations.
